Marriage Counseling?

I just want to take a poll for those of you how have attended marriage counseling...did it work for you? If it did, how long did you go before you felt it made a difference? If it did not, how many sessions did you attend?

Also, what does the first session usually look like?

a co worker of mine lost his wife when she started dating the counsler it was a rare occurance but he gave advice only to get her, he lost his license
